Survey Says This is The Best Place to Live in Minnesota for 2024
I might be biased, but I think Minnesota is a great place to live. I love the small town festivals, the lakes, the vibe -- and yes, even the weather (especially this year).
A lot of people outside of Minnesota thinks a great place too. A few years ago, Chanhassen was named the best city to live in the entire United States. Grand Marais is always being mentioned as one of America's best small towns, and Duluth is near the top of many lists for having the best outdoor recreation access. Lanesboro was recently listed as one of the best towns in America to spend Christmas.
Minnesota also comes at or near the top of other lists like, 'best state to raise a family, best healthcare, best quality of life,' and stuff like that.
I'm sure the lists goes on and on, but the bottom line is that Minnesota is looked at as a pretty sweet state to live in.
So what does it mean, when your Minnesota city is named as the best place to live in the entire state? Probably a pretty nice compliment.
The team at 24/7 Wall St. used data from the Census Bureau, the FBI, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to determine which cities score the highest when it comes to economy, community, and overall quality of life. Then they picked a winner from each state, and in Minnesota the winner is...

Growing up, we had good family friends that that moved to North Oaks. It was certainly an upper scale kind of place. At that time it was a gated community, but that's no longer the case.
