On Friday night, September 13th, just before 7 PM, a passerby noticed a fire, which prompted a response from several agencies.

Responding deputies found smoke coming from the building’s roof and several occupants outside of the building.

Five engines responded to the scene.

The crash caused the temporary closure of the northbound lane of Hwy. 42.

A photo from the scene indicates the motorcycle had started on fire.

Both the semi and tractor were traveling south on Hwy. 42 when they collided.

The incident resulted in injuries to eight people.
