Northfield Girls Hockey

I about fell over when I saw the updated rankings listing Faribault among other Class A girls hockey teams that received votes in the latest polls.

A huge win for Northfield keeps them in first place in the Big Nine Conference title race with 21 points.

There was some jockeying of positions but most of the same teams were ranked among the state's elite.

Four Big Nine schools are mentioned and seven of the twelve South Suburban teams are rated.
