Once again, I was doing my little scrolling on TikTok and came upon this user stating Harry Styles canceled and postponed his first out of 6 Chicago concerts. As I am a big fan of him I listened to what happened in her day because I really wanted to go to one of the Chicago dates. She that the United Center didn’t notify them till about 4 hours before the show! I wanted to know more so I went through her TikTok's.

It was very interesting because only the United center tweeted 4 hours before the show and said it was according to band/crew illness. None of Harry’s team posted about it though. So, I went through her TikToks and this is where it gets interesting. The next TikTok is her and her friend going through a tweet stating:

It’s weird though. If anyone in the band crew was sick, they could be replaced. It’s happened before, both Mitch Nia have been replaced in past shows. Harry isn’t the only one who canceled shows today: Demi Lovato, Paramore, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, Sam Fender, and The Weekend all canceled shows. All these artists are with major record labels. This is starting to feel more like a protest against management or the music industry.

The girls in the video also noted that each of the artists listed canceled their shows due to respiratory-related illnesses. While this seems to be something big going on, we do have to remember that we are still facing a global pandemic. However, the girls in the TikTok and many others on twitter went through many rabbit holes and I want to share the theories with you because this is just too much.

All the Artists who Canceled shows (that we know of recently):

  • Harry Styles
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Rage Against the Machine
  • Demi Lovato
  • Ringo Starr
  • Coldplay
  • Justin Bieber
  • Sam Fender
  • The Weekend

And all the artists are either signed to Sony or under big labels assigned to Sony. Each artist has canceled due to respiratory illness or ongoing health issues. Now, one thing I do want to point out is that Ringo has COVID and so he postponed I believe 6 of his remaining shows. In addition, Lindsey Buckingham has also canceled shows, but he has had many health issues over the past years so again, that one makes sense.

However, back to all the artists being owned by Sony, many people on Twitter are saying this could be a Union strike of the crew members. There is also this article posted by tag24.com, going over everything as well!

With this, there are other theories as well! One of the girls says that multiple people have commented on initial tweets or TikTok’s stating that “what if it has something to do with that missing Russian Nuclear sub. Like the high profile, celebrities got a memo to hide.” Others have responded by saying concerts were canceled because it is an easy target where a big group of people come together and out of precaution they were canceled.

Another user has also posted on TikTok stating it was probably a protest for creators rights and for congress to pass more laws to sustain the music industry. she states "specifically for songwriters rights and streaming revenue... or they could all just be sick."

One other theory is that all these artists have canceled their shows in prep and celebration of Taylor Swift’s 10th album. There were rumors circling Twitter and TikTok that Taylor could have dropped a single that night for her new album. Obviously, that didn’t happen and obviously, this is not the case but it was pretty entertaining to dive into that hole!

All in all, considering we still live in a global pandemic and because of it many artists have not toured, a lot of them, like a lot of us, are just getting that fall cold (or are getting older, sorry Lindsey). This could be within members of crews as well and for safety and caution, these shows were canceled. However, it is always fun to dive deep into conspiracies and let our imaginations run as we sit and wait for live shows to be back to normal.

All information is credit to users who created the TIkTok's above. this is all also just pure speculation and conspiracy theories, as no artist has publicly stated anything aside from canceling due to raspatory or health issues.
