The Steele County Community Emergency Response Team Class
The Steele County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is holding an
emergency preparedness class.
Participants will learn about disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical operations, light search and rescue, terrorism response, team organization and disaster psychology.
Most importantly, you will learn how to take care of yourself and family first in an emergency. Class begins on February 13th at 6:00 PM.
All classes are held at the Owatonna Fire Department. The 10 sessions take place
on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
At the completion of the classes, participants have the option of becoming a CERT
volunteer. CERT volunteers assist our first responders when they need assistance
during a disaster or other emergency. CERT volunteers receive a free bag of CERT
gear.
