Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn sent the following news release to KDHL concerning a personal injury crash.  The incident occurred in the 20000 block of Geneva Avenue in Shieldsville Township.

On 06/23/20 at approximately 5:52pm, Rice County deputies were dispatched to a personal injury crash involving a dump truck and side-by-side all-terrain vehicle (ATV) located in the 20000 block of Geneva Avenue in Shieldsville Township.  Upon arrival, deputies determined the ATV was traveling southbound on the west shoulder of Geneva Avenue when it attempted to make a left turn into a field approach in front of the dump truck.  The dump truck was also s/b on Geneva Avenue and attempting to pass the ATV.  The dump truck attempted to stop but struck the ATV in the roadway. Two of the ATV occupants were ejected.   The ATV was occupied by three parties identified as:

Driver:  Scott Allen Pineur, 57, Faribault

Passenger:  Christine Paula Pineur, 54, Faribault

Passenger:  Mary Margaret Lemieux, 76, Faribault

All of the above parties were transported from the crash scene to the hospital.  One by air care (helicopter) and two by ground ambulance.  The driver of the dump truck (Travis James Semmann, 33, Morristown) was not injured.

Deputies were assisted on scene by MN State Patrol, Faribault Police Department, North Ambulance, and Morristown Fire & Rescue.
