The top five sports stories in the KDHL listening area in 2019 will be featured on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program beginning 9:30 a.m.  Tomorrow Farm Director Jerry Groskreutz is doing an hour long edition of the show to go over the top stories in agriculture.

Without letting the "cat out of the bag," (how did that saying get started) we will tell you a number of communities in the area are represented in the top 5 countdown.  Here are just a few of them.  See if you can guess what story will be associated with them...

Kenyon-Wanamingo, Goodhue, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, Northfield, Blooming Prairie, Faribault, Lakeville North and Lakeville South high schools, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Hayfield, Randolph, Red Wing, Lake City.

One of the teams that did not make the top 5 but would most definitely be in the top ten include the Faribault Emeralds Dance Team.  Zumbrota-Mazeppa also did well at the state competition in the Target Center on February 16th.

We hope you will tune in and see if you feel these stories should be in the top 5.  It's not easy paring the list down but it is always fun to relive some of the exciting moments in sports in the KDHL listening area.
