If you buy frozen Vegetables, a recall has been issued for two common brands.

CBS New states that the Green Giant and Trader Joe's brands of butternut squash, cauliflower, zucchini, and butternut squash veggie bowls may have been contaminated. This recall has nothing to do with canned vegetables only the one in freezer bags.

Many of us shop at Trader Joe's or buy the Green Giant brand, so it's important that you check your packaging. What are you looking for? If there is a best used by date of June 26th to June 29, 2019, it's best that you don't eat the product.

Why is there a sudden recall? Well, the article states, traces of the Listeria Monocytogenes bacteria (also known as Listeria) have been reported in these brands. This is a bacteria that can be very harmful to young children and adults if consumed. The FDA  released a statement saying that it's best to take caution and not consume these products.

According to this article, the packaging facility has gotten a deep clean to kill the bacteria. Also, the facility is being tested to make sure that there are no more traces of the bacteria before they began packaging again.
