The University of Texas hosted the Kansas Jayhawks on Oct. 19, and fans at the game were treated to a special halftime performance dedicated to Texas native Kacey Musgraves.

UT's Longhorn Band performed their rendition of "High Horse," from Musgraves' Grammy Award-winning Album of the Year, Golden Hour. During their performance, the band spelled out "Grammy 2019" and created a Grammy trophy on the field; they also spelled out "Kacey."

Musgraves caught wind of the tribute, and responded on Twitter: "WOW -- this is as random as it is delightful ... !!!" she said, adding hilariously, "And thanks for spelling my name right."

Musgraves wasn't the only Texas native honored during UT's halftime performance at the Oct. 19 game. Houston-born superstar Beyonce was also recognized, with the band playing her smash hit singles "Crazy in Love" and "Single Ladies."

While Musgraves' disco-infused "High Horse" didn't pick up any Grammys at this year's ceremony, two of Golden Hour's tracks did. Her heartbreaking "Space Cowboy" won the Grammy for Best Country Song, while the tingle-inducing "Butterflies" won the Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance. Along with being named the Album of the Year, Golden Hour also picked up a Grammy for Best Country Album.

The country star previously won two Grammy Awards: In 2014, she won Best Country Song, for her illuminating take on American society, "Merry Go 'Round," and Best Country Album, for her groundbreaking debut album, "Same Trailer Different Park."

Musgraves recently wrapped her Oh, What a World: Tour II. During her show in Nashville, she performed "Space Cowboy" with former One Direction member (and her former tour boss) Harry Styles.
