There are a lot of questions being asked about what classes will look like this upcoming school year. While no official decision has been made yet, according to Bring Me the News, a decision will be made by late July.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is looking at three different possibilities for what the 2020-2021 school year will look like. Those scenarios include:

  • All Students return to in person learning
  • A Hybrid Model of Online and in person learning
  • Only distance learning

With many districts have already started planning for the upcoming year, the MDE has given the school districts guidance so they can work on a contingency plan for all three of the proposed options learning. In March, schools moved to an online only model for learning which caused a lot of problems and frustrations for the students, teachers and the parents.

A decision on the what way the MDE plans to go with the 2020-2021 school year will be announced by the week of July 27th.
