Winter’s Back! Winter Weather Advisory for Parts of Southern Minnesota
Just when Mother Nature had lulled us into thinking winter was over, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of southern Minnesota. (We knew better.)
The advisory is in effect from 3 pm Wednesday through 3 pm Thursday, when 3 to 4 inches of new snow accumulation is expected.
The Winter Weather Advisory includes Scott, Dakota, Le Sueur, Rice, and Goodhue Counties (+more).
A narrow band of higher amounts is possible within this system, leading to greater impacts to travel where the band sets up. The exact position of this band is still uncertain.
Plan on possible slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5-1-1. Road conditions can also be found at 511mn.org.
