Red Wing, MN (KROC AM News) – A young child was hurt Saturday when the semi-truck she was riding in crashed near Red Wing.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the driver of the rig “became distracted, lost control and rolled the semi.” The driver was identified as 28-year-old Zachery Barrett of Brandon, Florida. He wasn’t hurt. His 7-year-old passenger was taken to the Mayo Clinic hospital in Red Wing for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened on southbound Highway 61 around 11:00 AM and blocked the lanes for an unknown amount of time.
