Motorists need to be aware of more road projects coming next week. Starting Tuesday, August 20 Rose Street from Hoffman Drive to Willow Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic. Side streets crossing Rose Street will be closed at Rose Street with northbound traffic permitted to take right turns only. Grove Avenue and Cedar will remain open to north and southbound traffic. No parking will be permitted on Rose Street during the project. Work on the westbound lane of Rose will last around a month and then the road closure and detour will be reversed.

Work includes rehabilitating the concrete pavement on both Rose from Hoffman to Willow and on Oak from Holly to Rose. The traffic signals at the Oak and Vine along with Oak and McKinley will be removed. A pedestrian signal system will be installed at the intersection of Oak and School. Oak Avenue will be reconfigured from four lanes of traffic to three lanes of traffic with one lane in each direction and a left turn lane in the center.
