Bats, Bones, & Bonfires Coming to River Bend Nature Center
Halloween is just around the corner, and the team at River Bend Nature Center in Faribault invite you and your out for some spooky afternoon fun.
The Bats, Bones, & Bonfires Halloween event will take place on Saturday, October 29th from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Some of your favorite activities are back, like a bonfire with s’mores and cider, horse-drawn wagon rides, and face painting. New this year are goodie bags (while supplies last), a storybook hike, and a live peregrine falcon!
Bats, Bones, & Bonfires is open to all ages. Admission is $15 per family, or $10 for River Bend Nature Center member families. You can pay when you arrive, with cash or check preferred.

How to Find the River Bend Nature Center
The River Bend Nature Center is located at 1000 Rustad Road in Faribault.
The brown "Nature Center" signs will take you through a residential area. If you have trouble following the signs: from 1st St. SE (Hwy 60) turn south onto Shumway Ave., after one block turn left onto Division St., after several blocks turn right onto 10th Ave. SE, after several blocks you will be forced to turn left onto 5th St. SE, after several blocks turn right into our entrance on Rustad Road.

As winter approaches, it's a good time to remember that River Bend Nature Center is prefect for exploring all four seasons -- and winter at River Bend offers unique experiences for those who enjoying a winter walk on the woods. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are also popular winter activities at River Bend, show shoes available to rent.
