If there's one thing most people know about me, it's the fact that I love garage sales. Growing up, my aunt and I were fanatic about finding deals at garage sales, so they'll always hold a special place in my heart.

The annual Blooming Prairie City-Wide Garage Sale is this Saturday. It starts at 8 am and includes over 25 different homes throughout the town.

You can find just about everything at this event. I'm talking clothes, home goods, exercise equipment, books, toys, and furniture. Blooming Prairie's Chamber of Commerce even made a list of what is available at each stop. This little key can help you prioritize your time!

Things of personal interest to me include the piano at house 9 (I'm curious to know how fast it'll sell) and the swimming pool at house 21.

If you need a break from scavenging through goods, you should stop at Blooming Prairie's Cue Company and Pizza Cellar. They will be open for dining and takeout throughout the event. Plus, they'll have a full bar open at 10:30 am. Yes, I do agree. It does seem like a dangerous idea to shop slightly intoxicated. I mean, who knows what you'll end up taking home!

For more information about the event, head to Blooming Prairie's Chamber of Commerce website.

Garage sale season was very limited last year due to COVID-19, so I'm glad to see things up and running again. Take advantage of the nice weather and go find some new treasures.
