Blake Shelton is releasing a new song that bears one of the most unusual titles of any song he's released over his long career. "I'll Name the Dogs" is set to drop on Friday (Sept. 8).

The country singer turned to social media on Tuesday (Sept. 6) to reveal the new song. Shelton shared the cover of the track, writing, "YEEHAW!! Coming atcha Friday! #IllNameTheDogs‬."

The song appears to be the first we've heard of what may be a new album coming from Shelton, since it is not among the tracks on his most recent studio release, 2016's If I'm Honest. Shelton released five singles from that album with "Came Here to Forget," "Savior's Shadow," "She's Got a Way With Words," "A Guy With a Girl" and "Every Time I Hear That Song."

It's a busy time for Shelton, who has just released a live EP titled Blake Shelton Live. Shelton recorded the live tracks during a special pop-up show at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville in June, including "Honey Bee," "Boys ‘Round Here" and "A Guy With a Girl."

Shelton is also returning to his role as a coach on The Voice alongside Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine and Jennifer Hudson. The Season 13 premiere of The Voice is set for Sept. 25 at 8PM ET on NBC, and Rascal Flatts have signed on to assist his team advisors during the 2017 season.

Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney have been impressed by the contestants they've met so far.

"This is so fast, you’re talking about a few months and you’re on the world’s stage," Rooney tells Extra. "It’s a whole level of pressure, it’s really impressive to see … It’s really inspiring to all of us."

Shelton will also co-host the Nashville portion of Jamie Foxx' upcoming Hurricane Harvey relief telethon with Reese Witherspoon. All four major networks are slated to air the telethon for an hour on Sept. 12.
