The Cannon Falls Bombers put on an incredible offensive display in a 74-38 win at Lake City Wednesday night.  It was a school record for points in a game at Cannon Falls and came against the top ranked team in the state in Class 3A.

The #6 Class 3A Bombers had 6 different playe rsscore 9 rushing touchdowns and added another through the air.

Lake City opened the scoring in the contest at 8:17 of first quarter on a 25 yard pass.  The two point conversion was good.

At 5:38 Colton Loeschke answered with a 9 yard TD run.  The extra point run was good to tie the game.

With :57 to go in the first quarter Lake City scored on a 11 yard pass.  The two point attempt no good.

Loeschke answered with a 21 yard run with 11:54 to go.  Two point conversion run was good.

Lake City's talented quarterback, senior 6'6 Andy Wohlers threw a 60 yard touchdown pass with 11:29 to go in the first half.  Two point conversion was good on another pass.

Bombers Jon Banks cracked into the end zone on a 4 yard run with 8:12 to go.  A two point run was successful.

The Tigers answered that score with a 8 yard TD run with 7:49 to go in the second quarter.  Two point conversion was good.

Cannon Falls scored the next three touchdowns in the span of  4:52.  Riley Keenan had a 14 yard run and 22 yard pass reception for touchdowns. Quarterback Colton Otto added a 2 yard dive into the end zone to give the Bombers a 46-30 halftime lead.

Bombers running back Kal Anderson scampered into the end zone from 3 yards out with 8:19 to go in the third quarter.  A run for the two point conversion was good.

The Tigers answered with a 86 yard touchdown pass at 8:03.  Two point run was good.

Cannon Falls scored the last three touchdowns in the game.  A 3 yard run by Anderson.  Two point attempt no good with 1:33 left in the third quarter.

Hammel sprinted 75 yards with 9:45 to go in the game.  Spencer Krinkie kicked the extra point.

Colten Black had a 3 yard TD with 4:44 to go.  The extra point kick by Krinkie was good again.

Junior quarterback Colton Otto completed two passes in five attempts for 35 yards and a score.

Three Cannon Falls backs ran for over a hundred yards.  Riley Keenan had 14 carries for 173 yards and two scores.

Loeschke finished with 144 yards on 13 runs and two scores.  Hammel 10 carries for 110 yards and a TD.

Cannon Falls ran the ball 58 times for 533 yards and threw for another 35 yards while Lake City had 314 total yards, 296 through the air.

Keenan led the Bombers with 5 tackles, 2 for loss with a sack.  Beau Zimmerman had 4 tackles 1 for loss and a sack.  Jonathan Banks finished with 4 tackles.

Cannon Falls Head Coach Dan Meyers said following the game, "I'm proud of the way these guys prepared this week and performed tonight."
