The Faribault Laker bats were on fire in a 20-4 win over Prior Lake Friday and 10-9 extra inning victory over Lonsdale Sunday.  The wins get the Lakers over .500 with a 4-3 mark so far this year.  In the Prior Lake game at Bell Field Porter Sartor led the Lakers with 7 RBI.  He had two singles and a home run in the seven inning game. In the extra inning win Joe Grote hit for the cycle for Faribault.

Faribault had 10 runs in the first inning and tallied 13 hits in the game.  Matt Lane had three hits including 2 doubles, Joey Grote 3 hits and a double.  Jake Stocker and Austin Rendler also had doubles for the Lakers.

Egan Bonde got the win by throwing the first 4 2/3 innings.  He gave up 8 hits, 4 runs all earned, walked 6 and struck out 4.  Matt Lane threw the last 2 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 2.

Bonde threw 109 pitches, 58 strikes, Lane 34 pitches with 25 strikes.

Faribault traveled to Lonsdale Sunday and won 10-9 in eleven innings.  The winning RBI was captured by Porter Sartor on a bases loaded walk.

There was a lot of action in the contest however with the two teams combining to collect 29 hits.  Joe Grote led Faribault by hitting for the cycle with a single, double, triple and homer with 2 RBI.  Ryan Archambault had two hits and a RBI.  Austin Rendler had two hits and a RBI and Jake Stocker smacked two hits.

Tyler Francis started the game for Faribault, going the first 7 innings and allowing 13 hits while giving up 8 runs, 6 earned.  He walked one and struck out four.

Jack Helgeson got the win after throwing the last four innings, allowing 3 hits and one run with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.

The Lonsdale Aces had 5 errors and the Lakers 3.

Faribault travels to St. Benedict for a 7:30 p.m. game Wednesday, goes to Dundas Friday at 7:30 p.m. and hosts Montgomery at Bell Field Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
