Get Your Halloween Thrills and Chills All Month Long
If getting scared is your idea of fun, every weekend in October offers up the chance get the most out of Halloween.
I have already seen numerous Halloween displays in front yards and on porches around town. I suspect more people will plant gravestones and put up spooky attractions with the mild weather expected this weekend.
Trail of Terror opens October 7 and runs Friday through Sunday through October 30. Trail is located seven miles south of Shakopee off Highway 169. Win tickets through KRFO radio.
Farmamerica near Waseca hosts their annual haunted corn maze and feel mill October 21, 22, 28 and 29 from 6:30-10PM each night. This year's maze is longer than ever before, according to their website. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a flashlight. Admission is $10 per victim (or actually person).
The Village of Yesteryear presents A Haunting We Will Go on Friday, October 28, from 6:30-8PM. It is a free family event featuring a scavenger hunt, treats and games.
Owatonna Parks and Recreation hosts their third annual trick or treat trail at Manthey Park on Saturday, October 29, from 2-4PM. Ghosts, goblins and Pokemons of all ages can get treats along the trail, play games and ride a kiddie train. The event includes two bounce houses, free hot chocolate and pizza will be served.
Downtown Owatonna businesses will host trick or treating on Monday, October 31, from 4:30-6PM.
