Have A Buckin’ Good Time At Le Sueur County’s Annual Ranch Rodeo and Trail Ride
Yee-Haw! Grab your saddle and mosey on over to the Le Sueur County Annual Ranch Rodeo this weekend for a buckin' good time!
If you've never experienced the rush of a ranch rodeo, now is your chance! This three-day event at Le Sueur Fairgrounds in Le Center span June 18th, 19th, and 20th.
Friday night's Ranch Rodeo starts at 6:30 pm. Viewers can expect to see roping, sorting, penning, trailer loading, and cattle events.
If you have a five-person team interested in participating, you can register the night of the rodeo. Registration will begin at 5 pm, and the entry fee is $150 per team.
If I was born into a different life, I hope I'd be a cowgirl. If not to have barrel racing skills, then to be able to experience trail rides every weekend.
Trail ride registration begins Saturday at 9 am. The ride will leave the fairgrounds at noon. After the ride, enjoy a delectable chicken dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Once your stomach settles, start warming up your bones for the dance that begins at 8 pm.
(If you're like me and don't happen to have a horse stored in your apartment, you can still enjoy the dinner and dance for $15.)
If you're up to it, you can transport yourself into simpler times away from the hectic static of everyday life.
Sunday's trail ride leaves the fairground at 10 am.
Horse stalls are open on a first-come, first-serve basis, as are the camping areas. Throughout the weekend, water will be made available for all horses.
All proceeds from the event go to the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Mounted Posses youth programs.
Sounds like it's time to pull out the cowboy hat and boots. Can I get a YEE-HAW??
