Cole Swindell is set to make history with the Minnesota Twins at Target Field this summer.

When it comes to big country stars putting on concerts here in Minnesota, the summer of 2022 is one for the record books. Just about EVERY big country singer and/or group will be making a stop here (or already has made a stop) in the Land of 10,000 Lakes this year.

And that list (which you can check out if you keep scrolling below) just got longer on Monday. First, we'd heard that the Minnesota State Fair announced Florida Georgia Line as their last headliner during this year's Great Minnesota Get-Together Grandstand Series, playing a date on Wednesday, August 31st.

Then, the Minnesota Twins followed suit Monday afternoon, when they announced that Cole Swindell will be playing a special concert after their MLB game against the Toronto Bluejays on Thursday, August 4th. Which, as the Twins announced yesterday, is the first time they've EVER hosted a post-game concert.

Target Field has hosted 17 concerts and music festivals since it first opened back in 2010, but Cole is the first in the stadium’s 13-year history to perform following a Twins game.

Here's how it will work: The Twins and Bluejays face off at 6:40 pm. Once their game is done (hopefully it won't go into extra innings!), about 15 minutes later, Cole Swindell will take the stage at Target Field and will play a roughly 75-minute show.

The Twins said that there's NO CHARGE for Cole's show IF you buy a ticket to the game. Now, if you'd rather not cheer on the Twins and instead just want to show up for Cole's show, you will be able to take advantage of one of their special concert ticket packages. Plus, there is special pricing (and a limited-edition special Cole Swindell Twins hat) on ticket packages for both the game and the concert.
