Sorry to say, but the answer is "Yes". And it's not just coming back; it's coming back HARD.

Walking with my kids through our local amusement park this week, I couldn't help but notice how many mullets I was seeing. It was shocking and brought up memories I thought I had buried down deep. It got me wondering if folks were trying to be funny, or if mullets were really coming back into style.

Here's what I've found:

2019 is the year of the mullet. Stylists are becoming both clever and creative as they create new variations of the 70's and 80's style haircut. Often referred to as, "Business in the front, party in the back", that stigma is gone. Everyone from high school students to professional athletes are choosing to sport new and certainly improved versions of the mullet. It seems to have a punk rock feel this time around.  According to salonnv.co.uk "the mullet has mixed up with sharp edging, high fades, and faux-hawks to elevate the style."

The 2019 versions of the mullet are edgy and dare I say, quite fashionable. Plan to see many more mullets as word spreads that they are actually cool...again. 1989. 2019. Look for the next mullet revival in 2049.

Just one more quick note; Scunci is also back. Keep an eye out for the once again popular, colorful, fabric ponytail holder. And while you're at it, you might as well pick up a fanny pack.
