Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office cited a driver suspected of causing an injury crash at an Olmsted County intersection over the weekend.

Lt. Malinda Hanson said deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash around 10:15 Sunday morning. 

One driver was transported from the scene by an ambulance and first responders evaluated another driver at the crash scene.

Hanson said the crash occurred at the intersection of Collegeview Rd. and Olmsted County Rd. 11, which is just east of the Rochester City Limits.

The crash investigation indicates an eastbound vehicle attempted a left turn onto County Rd. 11 when it was hit by the second vehicle, which was heading west on Collegeview Rd.

The driver of the first vehicle is described as a 91-year-old Rochester man. He was transported from the scene for further treatment of possible head and neck injuries and was also cited for failure to yield, Hanson says.

A 47-year-old North Mankato man was operating the westbound vehicle. First responders treated him at the scene for back and neck pain. 

The names of the drivers will not be released. 

Hanson said everyone involved was buckled up and that the drivers were the only ones hurt in the two-vehicle collision.
