Northfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Twin Cities man was killed in a rollover crash on a southern Minnesota freeway Monday.

The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly after 1 p.m. It happened along I-35 near the interchange with Hwy. 19, which is about 14 miles north of Faribault. 

The state crash report says a southbound SUV entered the ditch and rolled. The driver, identified as 64-year-old Lew Tousignant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The St. Paul man was the sole occupant in the vehicle. The report indicates Tousignant was buckled up and that alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash.

The Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Northfield Ambulance and Northfield Rescue also responded to the crash.
