Cozy season is here, the cooler weather is creeping in, and if you’re anything like me, your fireplace is already calling your name!

Is there anything better than curling up on the couch with a hot drink, listening to that first crackle of the season, and unwinding after a long days work? But, wait, before you start tossing anything that looks vaguely flammable into the flames… we need to talk.

Not everything that burns should burn.

And trust me, I get it. The temptation is real. Junk mail? Into the fire. Leftover gift wrap? Instant kindling. That Amazon box you’ve been tripping over for a week? Boom, problem solved.

But here’s the thing, some things should never go into your fireplace. Unless, of course, you want your cozy night to turn into a chimney fire, a house full of toxic fumes, or flaming debris flying across the living room like rogue fire fairies (way less magical than it sounds).
