There are just sixteen games remaining in the Major League Baseball regular season, and the Twins are poised to make it to the postseason. Target Field playoff tickets go on sale this Monday morning.

As things sit today, the Twins would advance to the postseason as the third Wild Card team in the American League, leaving little room for error. Three division champions, and three wild card teams will advance from each league.

The New York Yankees, Cleveland Guardians, and Houston Astros currently lead their respective American League divisions, which means those three would be in. Rounding out the six-team American League postseason line up would be the three Wild Card teams, or the three teams in the AL with the best records, regardless of division; which today would be the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, and Minnesota Twins.

The Minnesota Twins will begin selling what they are calling 'postseason ticket strips' Monday morning at 10:00 am. A postseason ticket strip includes a ticket to all possible 2024 Twins postseason home games played at Target Field. There would potentially be 14 -- with 3 Wild Card Series Games, 3 Division Series Games, 4 League Championship Series Games, 4 World Series Games.

If you just did a little quick math in your head, you're right if you're thinking its not cheap. Each ticket strip means you're buying a ticket to a seat at every one of the 14 potential Target Field playoff games all at once, up front. If you want two seats you can double that. Of course, the team will refund you for any games that aren't actually played if the Twins are eliminated.
