The Minnesota Zoo is hosting a very cool drive-thru event from the beginning of December through mid-January. It's sort of like the holiday light drive-thru events we keep talking about but this one is a little different. There will be huge light-up animals on display!

The event is called Nature Illuminated. The drive-thru event will feature "stunning light work and larger-than-life animal art installations" according to the Minnesota Zoo website.

This super cool event will run starting December 3rd through January 17th. They will be closed on December 24th, January 4th, January 5th, January 11th, and January 12th. The hours of the drive-thru will be 5-9 PM Sundays through Thursdays and 5-11 PM Fridays and Saturdays. They do say on their website, though, that on New Year's Eve the hours will be extended. I didn't see anything saying how much longer they'll be extended but I'm hoping it's extended to midnight or something like that so you can ring in the new year with these huge, light-up animals!

If you're interested in this event tickets go on sale on Monday, November 16th at 9 AM. Ticket prices vary depending on the day day of the week and if you're a member of the Minnesota Zoo or not. For Sundays through Thursdays member tickets are $25 per vehicle, non-members are $50. For Fridays and Saturdays, member tickets are $35 per vehicle, non-members are $60. Tickets are available in 30-minute time slots.

Also on their site, you can take a look at how these larger-than-life, illuminating animals were made! You can check out HERE and scroll down a bit.
