The Minnesota Ice Maze has been a popular attraction during our long Minnesota winters. Typically you'd find the ice maze in Stillwater but this year they're moving to a new location. Also at the new location, there will be some other fun activities to take advantage of and it all kicks off this weekend!

Minnesota Ice Maze Moves to New Location

The ice maze is moving to Eagan, MN this year, according to KARE 11, and will be at the Vikings training headquarters. It's kind of a perfect spot if you're traveling from a good distance to check out the maze and want to spend the night because the Omni Hotel is right there.

Winter SKOLstice

Like I said earlier, the ice maze isn't the only thing that will be at the new Eagan location. The ice maze will now be part of the Viking's Winter SKOLstice event. It runs from about a month and a half starting this weekend, January 6th, through February 19th so there's plenty of time to check out everything that will be there.

Along with the ice maze, there will also be pond hokey rinks available for teams and clubs to rent and also open to the public at certain times. Also on certain days, you can try curling with the USA Curling Experience. Ice skating will also be available every day along with warming houses.

There's also going to be hot chocolate and snacks you can purchase, fire pits, theme nights, and scavenger hunts according to KARE 11. There are tons of other winter events going on around the state! Keep scrolling for info about some of them.
