Months after closing their St. Paul shop, this popular Minnesota Ice Cream shop is now closing its last shop in Minneapolis.

We are profoundly grateful for all of the moments that we have shared with all of you: the community of people that have built, enjoyed, experienced, supported, and sustained our vision for an ice cream company has been nothing short of amazing – we have celebrated thousands of special events and moments with you, your families, friends and businesses.

According to the Facebook post, Izzy's Ice Cream is closing the doors of their Minneapolis store for good on August 31st. It was speculated that this would be happening after Izzy's put their Mill Street location up for sale in May, shortly after the closure of their other shop in St. Paul. Known for their popular "Izzy Scoop", the ice cream shop was named the best ice cream shop in Minnesota according to the Daily Meal in July.

There is some silver lining though as owners Jeff Sommers and Lara Hammel announced that you will still be able to get the popular ice cream through local grocery stores and online orders via their website.
