Scattered Severe Storms Across Southern Minnesota Today
Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected today, especially this afternoon and evening. Severe storms are possible with the primary risks being hail, strong winds, and heavy rain, however a few tornadoes are also possible.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday morning, before a second round develops later in the day. The afternoon and evening round of storms have the greatest risk of becoming severe.
Monitor the forecasts, and have a way to receive warnings on Saturday, especially if you have plans outdoors this afternoon.
The chances for showers and thunderstorms continue through Sunday and into Monday, so with any luck we'll be able to get some meaningful precipitation (without the severe aspects).
High temperatures Sunday through Wednesday of next week look to only climb into the mid to upper seventies.
