Severe Storms, Heavy Rain Possible Across Southern Minnesota
The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms are possible this evening and into the overnight hours across southern Minnesota.
Damaging winds and heavy rain will be the main threats, but large hail and an isolated tornado are not out of the question. Heavy rainfall combined with recent rains may lead to some localized ponding or flooding of low lying areas and roads.

The main line of storms is expected to develop across the eastern Dakotas Sunday afternoon, eventually making its way into south central Minnesota closer to midnight.
Since these storms may arrive after dark, it’s important to ensure you have a way to receive warnings that will wake you up.
