
Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Parts of Southeast Minnesota
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa in effect from 5:05 pm this evening through midnight.
Minnesota counties in this Severe Thunderstorm Watch include Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona.
Scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail up to tennis sized ball, and a couple of tornadoes will be possible.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms in and near the watch area.
A Flood Watch is in effect through Wednesday morning for most of Minnesota, including Rice and Goodhue counties, the Twin Cities metro, and for most areas north.
The threat of severe weather returns to southern Minnesota tomorrow evening and tomorrow night.
