Owatonna Hall of Fame coach Len Olson engineered another win in the OHS gym on Sunday. The main goal of the Suits versus Sneakers celebrity exhibition basketball game was to raise money for the Homestead Hospice House patient care fund. Olson's Sneakers' squad edged Owatonna Mayor Tom Kuntz's Suits squad in a close battle.

The Sneakers' roster included Steele County Sheriff Lon Thiele, Wade Jessop of Owatonna Shoe, Kenny Dreyling with Hy-Vee Foods, former OHS hockey goalie Doug Voss, Justin Ray of Allina Health, Linda Coleman with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota, Beth Brady with Southern Minnesota Construction, Brian Elwer with Cash Wise Foods, OHS weight training instructor Jerry Eggermont and Kyle Shaw with the Owatonna People's Press.

The Suits team consisted of OHS principal and hall of fame member Mark Randall, Owatonna city councilmen Nate Dotson and Brent Svenby, Chris Swanson with Trinity Lutheran Church, Scott Friel and Connor Staudle of Federated Insurance, Don McCann with Viracon, Minnesota Senator John Jasinski, Kelly Maas with Ecumen Countryside and The Brooks and Randi Long and Jason Wilke of Mayo Clinic Health System.

Proceeds benefit the patient care fund of Homestead House which provides assistance to about 30% of patients at the facility, according to manager Pat Buretta. This was the second annual game.
