The 9th ranked St. John's basketball team won their 9th game in a row 100-66 in Duluth over St. Scholastica after St. Ben's downed St. Scholastica 84-53.
The 12th ranked St. John's basketball team posted a 78-54 win at St. Olaf in Northfield Wednesday night after St. Ben's knocked off St. Olaf 63-52 in Northfield against St. Olaf earlier in the evening.
The St. John's and St. Ben's basketball teams both won at Augsburg in Minneapolis Wednesday night. St. John's led by 18 at halftime and held off Augsburg in the 2nd half to win 78-69. St. Ben's used a 2nd half surge to knock off Augsburg 63-44.
The 14th ranked St. John's basketball team defeated Concordia in Moorhead 75-60 Wednesday night. The Johnnies led by 18 at halftime. St. John's was led in scoring by Kooper Vaughn with 23 points, Ryan Thissen added 13 points and Luke Healy chipped in 12 points.
The St. Ben's and St. John's basketball teams both won their MIAC openers Wednesday night against St. Olaf. St. Ben's defeated St. Olaf 60-42 at Claire Lynch Hall while #23 St. John's knocked off St. Olaf 75-60 at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
That can only mean when the boy's state basketball tournament rolls around we get blasted by another round of snow. Well, that would be correct in a typical winter here in Minnesota.
