St Paul Burglar Kills Family’s Dog ‘On His Way Out’

St Paul (KROC AM News) - Police in St Paul are asking the public’s help in trying to find a burglar who not only stole some of the victim’s property but also killed their dog.

The St Paul PD says the burglar used a shovel to break into the home around 9:45 am Wednesday.

Police say before walking out with a gun and some other items, the burglar “then shot and killed the family's golden retriever on his way out.”

KSTP is reporting the burglar took an AR-15 and silver bars worth nearly $8,000.

Police say a surveillance camera was able to provide good video and pictures of the burglar, including one photo that shows him talking on his phone.
