Taste of Steele County Is Thursday

The Owatonna branch of the American Association of University Women present their 8th annual Taste of Steele County. Hours will be 5-7PM on Thursday, September 21 at the Owatonna Eagles. It's your chance to sample goodies from 11 Steele County vendors. This years participants will be:

Steve's Meat Market of Ellendale

The Bakery of Blooming Prairie

Central Park Coffee/The Perfect Day Cakes

El Tequila Mexican Restaurant

Mizuki Fusion

Sparetime Entertainment

Costa's Candies

Fareway Foods

Owatonna Eagles

Owatonna Elks

There will also be a silent auction with around 30 baskets up for bids.

The proceeds will go to scholarships for local women and girls. Last year the fund raiser provided funds for over $5,000 in scholarships to 8 women.

Advance tickets are on sale from AAUW members or Kottke Jewelers. There may be some tickets available at the door. It's limited to around 300 samplers. Tickets are $15 for adults and for children age 12 and under it's $10.
