You don't have to go very far to find the airport that was just rated the best in the country-- because it's right here in Minnesota!

Living here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we're used to being near the top of many national lists and surveys that have to do with our quality of life, right? Our schools and universities are top-notch, Mayo Clinic-- the best hospital in the world (for seven years running now)-- is right in our backyard, and here in Rochester, our crime rate is still fairly low.

And now, here's another feather in our Minnesota cap: The 2022 Airport Satisfaction Survey from noted consumer research firm JD Power has just ranked the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in Bloomington as the Top Airport in the U.S. for Customer Satisfaction.

MSP notched a high score of 800 in this year's survey to take the top spot. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) ranked second with a score of 796 while Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York tied for third place with scores of 791.

While it's cool that our own MSP Airport is rated the best in the country, it's not the first time it's been honored. Just last year, MSP was rated as one of the Top 100 Airports in the WORLD in the 2021 SkyTrax World Airport Awards.

Plus, MSP was rated as the Fourth-Best Regional Airport in North America last year, with only Houston, Denver and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky ranking higher. And, MSP also ranked 9th on the list of Cleanest Airports in North America for 2021, according to the SkyTrax World Airport Awards, as well.

So, well done, Minnesota! Way to rise to the top of yet another survey! Seeing as many of us only head to the airport when we're heading out on vacation keep scrolling for some tips on how to keep your home looking like you're still there-- even when you're thousands of miles away.
