However, not all of our 'famous' attractions are what they're cracked up to be, and likewise, some don't receive the recognition they deserve.

Far and Wide took it upon themselves to evaluate famous attractions in each state, and they determined the best and worst in our beloved home. Let's see if you agree. 

The Most Underrated Attraction in Minnesota

• Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness

The BWCAW is home to some of the most serene sights in the state. No doubt. Visitors can expect clean air, clear water, and quietness.

With over 1,098,000 total acres, the area contains over 1,200 miles of canoe routes, 12 extensive hiking trails, and over 2,000 designated campsites.

The land is primitive and relatively untouched. After visiting the BWCAW, it's easy to hop on over to Minnesota's only national park: Voyageurs, which is adjacent to this unique area.

 The Most Overrated Attraction in Minnesota:

• Mall of America in Bloomington

The Mall of America is Minnesota's biggest draw. Each year, it welcomes more than 40 million visitors. 

Of course, the MOA does have a lot to offer guests. The 5 million square foot building houses an amusement park, aquarium, numerous dining and entertainment establishments, and over 500 stores.

But at the end of the day, it is just a mall. Quite frankly, the MOA doesn't show off the 'best' of Minnesota. At times, it is comparable to a packed zoo.
