Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There will be a threat of scattered frost across southeast Minnesota Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service is calling for morning lows in the low/mid-30s and has issued a frost advisory from midnight to 7:00 am Saturday.

Friday morning temps stayed in the mid to upper 30s across the region with an unofficial low of 37 degrees in Rochester and 36 in Preston. Rochester had a high of 86 and a low of 63 on Tuesday.

It was much colder in the Arrowhead region Friday morning with lows dipping into the low/mid 20s.

Hibbing and several other cities had lows of 21 degrees. Brimson was the coldest spot with a low of 18 degrees and Cotton dropped to 19.

Warmer weather will gradually return to southeast Minnesota over the Memorial Day weekend with highs back in the 70s Monday and near 80 by the end of next week.
