I think we've all had moments of frustration when behind the wheel, whether it be weather-related, road construction related, or just a bad day. However, the vast majority of people maintain their cool enough to arrive safely at their destination and certainly not a catalyst for a road rage incident.

However, road rage does happen and not only can it be very scary, but it can be deadly. That's why whenever you see it unfold you hope that the authorities can take action.

That's just what happened on Tuesday, May 9, in Richfield, Minnesota when three people became engaged in a road rage incident. The Minnesota Department of Transportation captured the altercation on camera. You can see the occupants, who were in two vehicles, began throwing landscape bricks and rocks at each other.

KARE 11 is reporting that Richfield squads and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a ramp off Highway 62 at Portland Ave. just before 6:15 p.m.

Officers learned that the dispute between people in two vehicles had reportedly started on I-35W and led to the off-ramp in Richfield, where the drivers pulled over and those involved in the road rage began throwing the objects at each other.

Thankfully, investigators were able to locate all three people involved, and one of the suspects was transported to the Hennepin County Jail on possible assault charges.

The incident remains under investigation by both Richfield police and the state patrol.
