The Class A #2 rated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers remained unbeaten following 12-0 5 inning and 5-3 wins over Medford.  Trista Hering threw a two hitter in the first game while the Bucs cranked out 10 hits.  Just 3 of the 11 Waterville-Elysian-Morristown batters who stepped to the plate did not get a hit.  Delaney Donahue, Allison Reints each had 2 hits and 2 RBI.  Makayla Paulson had 3 RBI with a double.  Brielle Bartelt, Ellie Ready each had multiple hits.

Hering threw a near perfect 53 pitches with 36 strikes.  3 strikeouts, 2 walks.  14 first pitch strikes to 18 batters faced.

In the second game Medford took a 2-0 lead in the first inning before the Buccaneers plated 3 runs in the third inning.  Delaney Donahue was the winning pitcher going the first 3 1/3 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, 1 strikeout.  Hering finished the final 3 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, striking out 1 and walking 1 for the save.

Both teams had 6 hits in the second contest.  Ellie Ready was the only person with more than one hit for the Bucs.  Brielle Bartelt, Autumn Taylor and Lindsay Condon had RBI for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown.

The Bucs remain undefeated.  Their game with St. Clair has been cancelled tomorrow so their next outing is Monday at home against United South Central.
