The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 6:00 pm Thursday through midnight Friday night for a portion of southern Minnesota.

Included in the Winter Storm Watch are Dodge, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Martin, Olmsted, Steele, Wabasha, and Waseca Counties (+more).

Heavy snow will be possible, with total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
