Flu shot clinics begin next week in the area. Homeland Health Specialists will offer flu shots for those 6 months and older at area schools. These clinics are open to the general public. They begin Wednesday, October 2 at Medford School from 3:30-7:30pm. There will be one at the Blooming Prairie High School on Monday, October 21 from 4:30-7:30pm. on Tuesday, October 22 there will be one at the school in New Richland from 4-7pm. Take note that this is a change in location as in previous years the clinic was at the Ellendale School. Then on Saturday, November 11 from 9 till noon there will be a clinic at Roosevelt School in Owatonna.

Steele County Public Health will offer flu shots for those age 18 and older on Tuesday, October 8 at the Medford Manor from 9-10am. Then on Wednesday, October 9 from noon till 1pm at the Ellendale Community Center.Thursday, October 10  at the West Hills Social Commons which is the former Senior Place from 9:30-11am. There will also be a clinic at Blooming Prairie Senior Dining on Friday, October 11 from 12-2pm.

Bring your insurance card. Those who are not insured and do not have the funds for a shot may contact Steele County Public Health about free shots.
