The Medford Straight River Days are upon us! In fact, the opening ceremony is TOMORROW from 6-8 pm at the Veteran's Memorial in Medford.

Thursday's event will include a flag-raising, music by Hano and the Hoff, hotdogs, and chips, and to top it off, the Girl Scouts will have root beer floats for sale! 

The Miss Medford Pageant winner will be crowned at 7 pm, and the first clue to the Medallion Hunt will be revealed to the crowd!

But all that's beside the point. Here's the real reason why you'll want to participate in the festivities, the Kat Kountry 105 crew, and yes, that does include superstar Shel B, will be hanging out in Medford from 5-7 pm. 

That's right! You can come hang out with ME! Please, please contain your excitement. Odds are, you can find your favorite local celebrities (a.k.a, the Kat Kountry 105 crew) at the Muni or tooling around town on a golf cart.

Friday's 50th annual parade starts at 7 pm sharp. You can check out the route here.

After the parade, you'll want to stick around! Rock Godz will be performing in the park from 8-11:30 pm. Bring your own cooler and chairs, and prepare to rock out!

If you don't want to pack a cooler, you can check out the Muni Beer Garden. The garden will be open 8-10 pm.

The fun will continue on Saturday with a maker's market, car show, a kid's carnival, bean bag tournament, BINGO, a pool party (!), and of course, the Muni Street Dance.

Get ready for fun, and don't forget your autograph book! Who knows when you'll get another chance to be so close to a real-life superstar!
