Minnesota Crashes Kill Two People, Injure Several Others
Fergus Falls, MN (KROC AM News) - There were two traffic crashes in Minnesota Sunday that involved nearly 20 people and killed two drivers.
The first happened around 1:30 am near Fergus Falls in northwest Minnesota.
The State Patrol says it involved a car and a truck. A teenager from Barnesville was driving the car and was killed. She was identified as 19-year-old Grace Olson. The truck was driven by 43-year-old David Moen of Henning. There were 9 passengers in his truck ranging in age from 18 to 67-years-old. Four were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other crash happened around 1:45 pm in Foley.
The State Patrol says a car driven by 26-year-old Logan Christensen of Letcher, SD crossed the centerline of Highway 23 and collided with another vehicle. Christensen and three passengers - a 25-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl, and an infant boy - were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car was killed. He was identified as 55-year-old Bruce Varner of Sauk Rapids. There were two passengers in his car and both were hurt. They were identified as 46-year-old Janet Lemke of Rice and 80-year-old Patricia Lemke of St Cloud, who suffered life-threatening injuries.
