The dual meet between Owatonna and Albert Lea has been postponed for the second time. School officials delayed a final decision until early Tuesday afternoon, even though the announcement of the closing of Owatonna schools occurred Monday night.

The meet was originally scheduled for January 11 but had to be postponed that night due to Albert Lea schools closing. Owatonna did not close on the 11th. The match between the top-ten teams will likely determine the Big Nine championship and the top seed in Section 1AAA with Albert Lea back in AAA. The Huskies edged the Tigers on criteria last season to win the Big Nine title.

OHS went 2-1 during the Zumbrota-Mazeppa tournament Saturday. Senior Peyton Robb went 3-0 with three pins to become the Owatonna career record holder for falls with 95. Coyte Kuefner had been the leader with 94. Brandon Moen had 90 career pins. Dan Card and Derek Johnson had 83 apiece.

Another highlight Saturday was junior Cade King earning his second win of the season over ZM's Caden Steffen, a future Gopher. King won 5-2. He also beat Steffen during the Minnesota Christmas Tournament. Team results Saturday included a 59-16 win over Caledonia, a 61-12 victory over LARP and a 34-25 loss to No. 1A Zumbrota-Mazeppa.

With Tuesday's postponement against Albert Lea the Huskies next action is a triangular Thursday, January 25 with Austin and Mankato East starting at 5PM.

Tuesday's other OHS sports include a boys' hockey game with South St. Paul that has been rescheduled for February 12 and adaptive floor hockey at New Prague.
