The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch in effect until 8:00 pm this evening for most of the state of Minnesota.

This watch includes all of Minnesota, with the exception of far northwest, and far southeast cornets of the state. In southern Minnesota the Tornado Watch includes Blue Earth, Dakota, Faribault, Freeborn, Le Sueur, McCleod, Nicollet, Redwood, Rice, Scott, Sibley, Steele, Waseca (+more) counties -- and includes the entire Twin Cities metro.

A few tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats late this afternoon into the evening.
