Owatonna junior Jason Williamson earned the MVP award at Saturday's Lakeville North mega meet. He won three events and was third in another as the Huskies won the 13-team meet they added to their schedule to replace one of their canceled dates. Williamson won the 100-meter, 200-meter, was part of the winning 4x200 and finished third in the long jump.

OHS won the meet with 154.75 points. Lakeville North had 117.25 and Farmington took third with 109.25. The Huskies go to Rochester Century Tuesday and go back to Rochester for the Mayo Invitational Friday.

Owatonna girls' fast pitch softball finished fourth at the Shakopee Tournament Saturday. They started with a 3-2 win over Big Lake. Liv Larson pitched. Jamie Davison, Torey Buck and Mia Hiber delivered the big hits. OHS lost to the host team 14-1 in the semifinals. Davison had the lone RBI on a double.

The Huskies dropped the third place game to Winona 5-4 in ten innings. Kaitlyn Madole went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. OHS named Davison their player of the week after she had eight hits, four of which were doubles, 5 RBI and solid defense in center field.

The Huskies will host Red Wing Monday, April 30 at 5 pm in a makeup game at Morehouse Park. Tuesday they play at Rochester Century at 5 pm in a Kat Kountry 105 broadcast.

OHS baseball whipped John Marshall 18-4 at Dartt's Park Saturday, continuing their strong start to the season. Tucker Alstead and Brady Schuster hit home runs for the Huskies (5-0). Owatonna hosts Rochester Century Tuesday at 5 pm at Fuller Field.

The Huskies' boys' tennis team took third place at Lakeville South Saturday. After a first-round loss to South 6-1, OHS beat Robbinsdale Armstrong 6-1 and Duluth East 4-3. Owatonna (5-2) hosts Winona Monday at 4:30 pm in a makeup meet at the high school courts.

Owatonna girls' lacrosse dropped a 7-4 decision to Lakeville South Saturday night, while the boys fell at St. Thomas Academy 9-3. OHS hosts a doubleheader Monday night at the high school. The girls face Mankato at 5:30 pm in a game with conference  championship implications according to coach Dan Paur. It is a makeup game. The boys host Rochester John Marshall at 7:30 pm. Wednesday the girls play at JM in a game that will be carried on KRFO AM 1390.
