COVID-19: Popular Spring Flood Run Scrubbed
Lake Saint Croix Beach, MN (KROC AM News) - Add another noteworthy Minnesota event to the list of cancellations caused by the coronavirus crisis.
Organizers of the Spring Flood Run have called off the popular event that also serves as a fundraiser.
The event involves hundreds of Minnesota and Wisconsin motorcyclists who ride along the Mississippi River. Money raised from the annual event is donated to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. The spring event was scheduled to take place April 18.
Organizers are still making plans for the Fall Flood Run Sept. 19.
Here’s the announcement:
Given the Minnesota and Wisconsin state order regarding COVID-19, the Spring Flood Run will not take place. We truly appreciate your support of this event and look forward to seeing you in the fall on September 19th.
There is a donation button above for those of you who wish to still donate this spring. There is also a donate button on the @FloodRun Facebook fan page. All money donated will go to @Gillette Children’s Specialty Health Care.
If you have paid for your wristband online, you may donate the cost to Gillette’s, use the wristband for the Fall Run, or have the money refunded.
We hope you all stay safe and healthy during these unusual times.
