(Hayfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - Another southeastern Minnesota school district is shifting away from all in-person instruction because of an increase in COVID-19 cases.

The Superintendent of the Hayfield School District has notified parents and staff that students in the 7th through 12th grades will be moving to a hybrid learning model beginning next Monday. The letter indicates the decision was based on information supplied by Dodge County Public Health.

The plan calls for pre-K through 12th grade students in the Hayfield Public Schools to continue with in-person instruction through tomorrow. There will be no classes on Wednesday to give teachers time to prepare for the shift to a hybrid schedule along with a deep cleaning of the Hayfield school facilities. There will also be no classes Thursday and Friday due to the MEA break.

Detailed information about the secondary hybrid plan and schedule will be shared with the staff, students, and families Tuesday afternoon.
